Mick started out directing short comedies, the first being Opportunity Knocks in 1993 — winner of the Dendy award at the Sydney Film Festival, the St. Kilda Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival and nominated for two AFI’s. His next film Cabbie of the Year was also a finalist in the Dendy awards and won an AFI award for best short screenplay.
Since directing television drama series Raw FM, Good Guys Bad Guys, and children’s television for the ABC, Mick has directed comedy and performance commercials, winning many local and international awards.
